The Lady Vikings opened Tri-Districts with a smashing 15-2 win against Rainier Christian from the SeaTac League on May 11.
“It was a good team effort; our girls just played a real good game,” said coach Scott Harris.
The team shot to an early lead, 12-0 in the first inning, and held Rainier Christian scoreless until the third inning. Alison O’Toole hit a triple, Emily Bodenhamer went three for four, with a double, and Lanie Padbury went two for two, with three stolen bases. Pitcher Adria Garcia threw six strikeouts in three innings.
“Anytime you can win a playoff game it’s an important win,” said Harris. “Our offense came alive. That was good for us – our bats have been pretty quiet.”
